1. Oil reset. When your car's service light comes on, it indicates that your vehicle needs servicing. After the inspection, you reset the mileage or driving time, the service light turns off and the system starts a new maintenance cycle.
2. Electric throttle adaptation. Electric throttle adaptation involves using the car's decoder to initialize the throttle actuator so that the ECU learning value returns to the initial state. This allows the movement of the throttle (or engine at idle) to be controlled more precisely, thereby regulating intake volume.
3. Steering Angle Reset (SAS). To reset the steering angle, first find the relative zero point when the car is driving straight ahead. Taking this position as a reference point, the ECU can calculate the exact left and right steering angle. After replacing the steering angle position sensor, replacing mechanical parts of the steering system (such as steering box, steering column, tie rod end, steering knuckle), wheel alignment, or bodywork repair, you must reset the steering angle.
4. Battery matching. This function allows a reset operation to be performed on the vehicle's battery monitoring unit, where the original low battery voltage information will be deleted and battery matching will be performed.
5. ABS bleeding. When there is air in the ABS system, the ABS bleeding procedure must be performed to bleed the brake system and restore ABS braking sensitivity. If the ABS computer, ABS pump, brake master cylinder, brake master cylinder, brake line or brake fluid are replaced, the ABS bleeding procedure must be performed to bleed the ABS.
6. Brake reset. If the brake lining wears out the brake lining sensor line, the sensor line sends a signal to the on-board computer to replace the brake lining. After replacing the brake pad, you need to reset the brake lining. Otherwise, the car signals an alarm.
7. DPF regeneration. DPF regeneration is used to remove particulate matter (PM) from the DPF filter through continuous combustion oxidation mode (such as high-temperature combustion, fuel addition or catalytic converter ignition PM reduction) to stabilize the filter performance.
8. Learning how the gear works. The crankshaft position sensor learns the machining tolerances of the crankshaft teeth and records them to the computer to more accurately diagnose engine misfire. If the transmission operation has not been learned for a car equipped with the Delphi engine, MlL lights up after starting the engine. The diagnostic device detects DTC P1336 "transmission failure". In this case, you need to use a diagnostic device to learn how the car's transmission works. After the transmission has successfully learned how to operate, the MIL goes off. After replacing the engine ECU, crankshaft position sensor, crankshaft flywheel, or the "no transmission learning" error occurs, the transmission must be taught.
9. IMMO support. To prevent unauthorized keys from using the car, the anti-theft key matching function must be carried out so that the car's immobilizer system identifies and authorizes the remote control keys for normal car use. When the ignition key, ignition switch, integrated instrument panel, ECU, BCM, or remote control battery are replaced, an anti-theft key matching procedure must be performed.
10. Injector coding. Record the actual injector code or rewrite the code in the ECU to the injector code of the corresponding cylinder to more precisely control or correct the amount of injection in the cylinder. After replacing the ECU or injector, each cylinder's injector code must be confirmed or re-coded so that the cylinders can better identify the injectors for accurate fuel injection control.
11. Resetting TPMS. After the tire pressure light has come on and maintenance has been performed, the tire pressure reset function must be performed to reset the pressure and turn off the light. Tire pressure reset must be performed after maintenance in the following cases: the tire pressure is too low, the tires are leaking, the tire pressure monitoring device has been replaced or installed, the tires are replaced, the tire pressure sensor is damaged, and the tires are replaced for a car with a tire pressure monitoring function.
12. Suspension adjustment. This function can adjust the body height. After replacing the body height sensor in the air suspension system or control module, or when the vehicle level is abnormal, you must perform this function to adjust the body height sensor to level calibration.
13. AFS reset. This function is used to initialize the adaptive headlight system. Depending on the ambient light intensity, the adaptive headlight system can decide whether to automatically turn on the headlights and then adjust the headlight illumination angle accordingly by monitoring the vehicle's speed and body posture.
14. A/T learning. This function can complete the gearbox self-learning process to improve the shifting quality. When the gearbox is stripped or repaired (after the power is disconnected in some cars), this can lead to delays or knocks when changing gears. In this case, you need this function so that the gearbox can automatically compensate according to driving conditions, which allows you to achieve a more comfortable and better shifting quality.
15. Sunroof initialization. This function allows you to set the sunroof lock, sunroof closing in rain, sunroof tilt/slide memory functions, outside vehicle temperature thresholds, etc.
16. EGR adaptation. This function is used to learn the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve after it has been cleaned or replaced.
17. ODO reset. a) ODO reset involves copying, writing or rewriting the mileage value in the odometer chip using the car's diagnostic computer and data cable so that the odometer shows the actual mileage. b) Usually, when the mileage is not correct due to vehicle speed sensor damage or odometer failure, it is necessary to reset the ODO after maintenance.
18. Airbag reset. This feature resets the airbag data to clear the airbag crash failure indicator. When a vehicle is involved in a collision and the airbag is deployed, the corresponding crash data error code appears, the airbag indicator lights up, and the error code cannot be cleared. Since the data in the airbag computer is one-time, it is required that all new parts be replaced, but after performing this function, the airbag computer data can be recovered and the error code can be cleared, the airbag light will turn off and the airbag computer can still be used.
19. Transport mode.To reduce energy consumption, the following functions may be disabled, including vehicle speed limiting, door opening network disabling and remote control key disabling, etc. In this case, the transport mode must be deactivated to return the vehicle to its normal state.
20. A/F Reset. This function is used to set or learn the air/fuel ratio parameters.
21. Stop/Start Reset.This function is used to open or close the automatic start and stop function by setting a hidden function in the ECU (provided that the vehicle has a hidden function and is supported by the hardware).
22. Resetting the NOx sensor. The NOx sensor is a sensor used to detect the content of nitrogen oxides (NOx) in engine exhaust gases. If a NOx error occurs and the NOx catalytic converter is replaced, it is necessary to reset the learned catalytic converter value stored in the engine ECU.
23. Resetting AdBlue (diesel exhaust filter). After replacing or adding diesel aftertreatment fluid (car urea), a urea reset operation is necessary.
24. Seat calibration. This feature is used to fit memory seats that have been replaced and repaired.
25. Bleeding the cooling system. Use this function to activate the electronic water pump before bleeding the cooling system.
26. Tire reset. This function is used to set the size parameters of the tire being modified or replaced.
27. Window calibration. This function is designed to adjust the door windows to restore the initial ECU memory and restore the automatic window up and down function.
28. Changing the language. This function is used to change the vehicle system language on the vehicle control panel.
